Research

I am the Associate Director of the Institute for European Studies and a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Sociology Department at Cornell University. My teaching and research interests focus primarily on European political sociology, and I have taught courses on Parties and Society, European Politics, Political Violence and Terrorism, and Identity and Ethnic Conflict. My most recent publication is an article entitled "Language Politics and Regional Nationalist Mobilization in Galicia and Wales," which appears in Ethnicities (2007). I am also a member of the Editorial Board of Politics and Policy.
